School Lunch Program

Healthy and Economical

In 2001 Grilly’s joined with other Marin County restaurants in a groundbreaking project to supply lunches to public and private schools. The program has been a great success and is now the cornerstone of food services for many schools during an era of heavy budget restraints.

On designated days, the Grilly’s School Lunch Program provides dozens of burritos, quesadillas, taco salads, and other menu items to schools for students and staff. Still steaming-hot, or properly chilled, school staff or PTA members serve a healthy lunch high in fiber, complex carbohydrates and protein. – easy, and all on a budget!

Peanut oil or other nut products that could pose a hazard to some sensitive people, are not served at Grilly’s. And, Vegetarians and Vegans can relax because Grilly’s knows your needs and offers a bounty of healthy, respectful options.

Grilly’s serves more than 10 schools in Mill Valley and Fairfax with meals planned expressly for each school. If your school is not participating in this program, contact its administration or PTA. Then call Joseph Woods at Grilly’s (415) 381-3278 to let him know of your interest.

“The kids tell me that Grilly’s day is their favorite day of the week!! It’s no surprise. Our meals are wholesome and can be made with chicken, cheese, veggies, corn, flour or whole wheat tortillas, with or without salsa. Why not give your child something healthy that they will enjoy and look forward to all week?”

“In preparing a menu for your school, we work closely with you to customize our food to meet your needs. Some of our more popular items include: rice, bean and cheese burritos, cheese quesadillas, chicken burritos, taco salad wrap, and our NEW, wildly popular chicken and cheese tacos (just ask the kids at Park School!!)”.
